Retro Gadget Lab started in August 2025 with a simple mission: to keep gaming hardware alive and bring joy back to consoles that deserve a second chance.
Based in Souris, PEI, we specialize in console repair, system modding, and retro gaming restoration. From fixing controller drift to installing custom firmware, we handle it all with care and expertise.
What sets us apart? We don't just fix consoles - we restore experiences. Whether it's making sure a child's birthday surprise works perfectly or helping collectors preserve rare hardware, we take pride in delivering quality work that goes beyond the repair.
Recently, we prepared a modded Wii for a customer as a birthday gift for their six-year-old son. When one console began behaving unpredictably, rather than risk delivering something unreliable, we swapped in our own fully tested unit.
That meant an extra hour of driving each way, in a snowstorm, just to ensure it arrived on time. The result was worth it - the customer sent us a video of their child happily playing Wii Boxing on their birthday.
